This Tuesday, we have the special treat and honor of having Misty May-Treanor, a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Hall of Famer, and one of the top Beach Volleyball Players of All Time, join us as our guest speaker.
Her partnership with Kerri Walsh Jennings is legendary. They dominated beach volleyball for over a decade and formed the most successful team in beach volleyball history.
While at Long Beach State, Misty led the team to an NCAA Championship and became the first women’s NCAA volleyball team to have an undefeated season. She received many honors, including the nation’s best female volleyball player, the best overall female collegiate athlete for 1998–99, and back-to-back National Player of the Year awards in 1997 and 1998.
Misty has become a role model for female athletes worldwide, inspiring generations to pursue their sporting dreams. The Century Club is thrilled and proud to have a hand in helping her early on to get her beach volleyball career going.
In addition, Hall of Fame Volleyball Coach Brian Gimmillaro will join us to introduce Misty and share some stories about their time together.
