Middle School Sports Banquet

Over 30 years ago, past president Sam Breuklander wanted to honor Long Beach's middle school athletes at the end of their schoolyear. For many middle schoolers, that will be the last time they compete in organized school sports. Sam's vision was to honor the team champions, boys and girls, in each division for each sport offered by the middle schools in Long Beach.

With the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions, the middle school sports and the banquet were not held in 2020 or 2021.

Now we're back! The 2022 Middle School Banquet, will take place on Monday, May 23, and for the first time will be held at the Walter Pyramid on the campus of Long Beach State University. With the school district having expanded middle school sports into three divisions, we have outgrown The Grand, which hosted the banquet for so many years (and we are most grateful for that!)

This is a Club funded event, free to the student athletes and their parents.  Donations toward the cost of the venue, the food, the printed program and the awards. Huge thanks to Long Beach City College for a major contribution so we can offer free parking to all guests on the university's campus for the evening!
